Welcome to Mr. Kanji!

Hi and welcome to Mr. Kanji. My name is Katsufumi Tani and I am a Japanese craft artist living in upstate New York.

I specialize in creating unique items for your home using Japanese characters--or kanji--to represent the feelings that you want to express. Some of these are meant to be funny, like the ones that you'll find in the funny kanji section, while others are meant to express feelings of love, friendship, and family--you'll find these under pretty kanji.

As an independent artist, I am able to create a product that is just as unique as you are. I can translate any phrase that you want into Japanese and place it onto:
